CRA Sgt Speaks Out – A View From Ground Zero at the CRA Convention

This is some inside baseball – but recent Major news in the California Governor’s Race is that Steve Poizner picked up the CRA Endorsement.

The CRA is the Statewide Conservative Grassroots organization that endorsed Tom McClintock and Bill Simon pre-primary.

I spoke out forcefully in Favor of Steve Poizner before the convention.

I decided to relate what being the Sgt at Arms of a statewide endorsing convention is like – especially when you were right in the middle of it.

Basically, at the end of the convention – I had at least two major campaigns pissed off at me – I guess that means I did my job?

Folks – despite their protestations otherwise, I can prove everything.

Meg Whitman tried to hire me. Red County feigns objectivity – yet they took money from Whitman six days before axing me off of their blog.

Campaign activity 101 – and with it goes Red County’s credibility down the drain.

Hypocricy Illustrated – Conservatives for Whitman?

We know the “Conservatives” at Meg County were purchased.

We know that this Conservative refused to betray Steve Poizner (and that story will be told soon) – unlike Jim Nielsen, Brian Nestande and John Campbell who all switched their endorsements to join the establishment.

I am a delegate to the State CRP – this means in the weeks leading up to a convention, I get stuff in my mail. One such piece of cat pan liner was a letter I got entitled Conservatives for Whitman. (It is hyperlinked on the www.rightondaily.com blog post linked below)

As Meg Whitman’s Rally Gerbil cheers her on and parades around as an ethical conservative – he ignores the financial compromise of his partner and the following:

Whitman is a Huge Fan of Van Jones
Whitman is a Huge Fan of H1-N visas (the most abused form)
Whitman said we shouldn’t raise taxes “right now”
Whitman opposes cutting illegal alien healthcare (that her endorser Jim Nielsen helped establish in the 1980’s).
Whitman publicly endorsed with a signed letter – Barbara Boxer in 2004
Whitman’s closest advisor, Henry Gomez has maxed out to every Dem Presidential Candidate in Memory
Whitman herself gave $300,000 to the environmental defense fund – whose Delta Smelt lawsuit shut water off to millions of acres of farms this year.

Red County Blog’s Financial Compromise / Credibility Compromise

List of Don’t Do’s if you’re a Republican:

1. Talk about morality while nailing a lobbyist (Duvall, et. al.)

2. Talk about protecting the integrity of your blog while getting paid by a campaign (Chip Hanlon / Matt Cunningham)

3. Ask a contributor to your blog to put up a fake post (Hanlon)

4. Delete posts from contributors contrary to a campaign you’re supporting (Matt Cunningham)

This is why the Red County Blog is home to the McCain-Bush-Whitman squishes.

Red County Founder Chip Hanlon Revealed to be a Fraud / Democrat Donor

Those of you who read blogs regularly remember when Sgt. York was ejected from the Red County Blog for being a (Gasp) Paid Consultant. Not only has Red County been home to a gigantic banner ad for the Whitman for Governor Campaign —-

It also turns out that the self-righteous rantings of Red County founder had their basis grounded in finances. It was revealed that Chip Hanlon’s firm greenfaucet.com was paid $20,000 by the Meg Whitman for Governor Campaign.

Reading the link above also shows that the hypocricy gets even worse. Further investigation reveals that Hanlon’s Michavellian pattern has also manifest itself in donations to Democrats.

All I can say at this point is that I feel vindicated – because when confronted, I told the truth.
