Cindy Sheehan Protests Against Obama War Policy-Ignored By Media-UPDATED

Remember Cindy Sheehan? She won national media attention for camping outside President Bush’s Crawford Texas Ranch protesting Bush’s war policies. She’s back, this time calling for protests against what is now Obama’s war, and taking members of the anti-war movement to task for putting party politics over peace.

sheehan“Many elements of the anti-war movement have stood down cause Obama is President, and that shows me that some elements in the anti-war movement are more concerned with the Democratic Party than really bringing true peace.” Cindy Sheehan

The anti-war protest Sheehan called for actually happened in Washington March 21, 2009, but received scant attention in the American media. This plays to Sheehan’s point that many are more concerned with the Democratic Party’s agenda than actually ending the war. Here is an excerpt from a news outlet in China that did cover it. Notice the lack of Obama signs:

It was also covered here in the Washington Times.

Bush Redux? As President Obama looks less and less like campaigner Obama, criticism has been mounting. Though much of it has been dismissed as the ranting of the Right Wing, many moderates are becoming disillusioned with Obama’s unexpected Federal power grab and crazy spending. The Left Wing is also getting in on the act as Obama’s war policy looks more and more like President Bush’s.

Update: Obama to send 4000 more troops to Afghanistan

obamaWASHINGTON – President Barack Obama on Friday ordered 4,000 more military troops into Afghanistan, vowing to “disrupt, dismantle and defeat” the terrorist al-Qaida network in Afghanistan and neighboring Pakistan……..

…….Obama called the mountainous border region of Afghanistan and Pakistan “the most dangerous place in the world.”

“This is not simply an American problem — far from it,” Obama said. “It is, instead, an international security challenge of the highest order. Terrorist attacks in London and Bali were tied to al-Qaida and its allies in Pakistan, as were attacks in North Africa and the Middle East, in Islamabad and Kabul. If there is a major attack on an Asian, European, or African city, it, too, is likely to have ties to al-Qaida’s leadership in Pakistan.”

The president added: “The safety of people around the world is at stake.”

Hey everyone I am getting tired of this bullshit that is going on in Washington. Ever since the new president has come into order there has been nothing but bad economic plans and more spending. What is the idea behind spending more of what we don’t have. Its like looking at personal finance of your own money. Why on earth would you spend more money when you are already in debt. I am a college graduate from a major university and have now been on over two months and cannot get a job. EXPLAIN THAT OBAMA!!!!

  6. Daniel says:

I am also thinking of staging a protest against the current economic plan and what is going on in this country. I am thinking of traveling to Washington and sitting in front of the capital and asking why I don’t have a job??? What is happening to this country, every day I see more people on welfare checks who if given the chance could work and yet the country keeps adding to the fire. Give me some feedback I would like to know if there are people out there willing to set up another tea party!!!!

  7. Bruce Smith says:

    Wake up America!

Those of you who read blogs regularly remember when Sgt. York was ejected from the Red County Blog for being a (Gasp) Paid Consultant. Not only has Red County been home to a gigantic banner ad for the Whitman for Governor Campaign —-
It also turns out that the self-righteous rantings of Red County founder had [...]

January 7, 2010

Wow – the shock of it all!
A campaign in Northern California got busted for having one of it’s paid consultants (Note- not an independent contractor, someone on their payroll) blog and attack their opponents… the horror!
While self-righteous consultants grandstanded over my ouster from Red County, one of their own admits he’s a paid blogger and [...]

Placer County Republican Party Under Fire by Sacramento Bee… (Breaking) Roger Niello the Choice of Big Labor

December 30, 2009

The Bee is depressed. John Doolittle isn’t around anymore to hate. Tom McClintock is regaining his rock star status in the GOP.
All that’s left is to attack those Right-Wing nutcases in the Placer County Republican Central Committee. Yours truly has a few things to say about that…

If George Bush was an idiot. . . .

December 17, 2009

If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a teleprompter installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how he inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
If George W. [...]

I Miss Bill Clinton…. Comparatively Speaking

November 19, 2009

I couldn’t stand Bill Clinton at the time, and we sure had fun with the Monica thing, but at least Clinton was a real American. He even balanced a budget or two as I recall (with a Republican Congress).
The debates over policy were within a context that Barack Obama has blown to smithereens. I don’t [...]

Do You Feel A Pain In Your Ass?

November 8, 2009

If you feel a pain in your ass, it is probably not cancer. It is probably the US House Of Representatives passing a humongous health care bill that will cost you a lot of money. It passed right through the House Of Representatives and up your rectum.
Hopefully the bill (if passed by the Senate and [...]
