Climate-Gate: Federal Power Grab! EPA To Declare CO2 Dangerous

An “endangerment” finding by the Environmental Protection Agency could pave the way for the government to require businesses that emit carbon dioxide and five other greenhouse gases to make costly changes in machinery to reduce emissions — even if Congress doesn’t pass pending climate-change legislation.

The other thing the green circles represent is economic activity. When the regulations kick in, the little green circles will shrink.

An EPA endangerment finding “could result in a top-down command-and-control regime that will choke off growth by adding new mandates to virtually every major construction and renovation project,” U.S. Chamber of Commerce President Thomas Donohue said in a statement.

You can expect higher taxes, new penalties, stifling of growth, lost jobs and bankrupted business and, none of it will affect global warming.

EPA action won’t do much to combat climate change, and “is certain to come at a huge cost to the economy,” said the National Association of Manufacturers, a trade group that stands as a proxy for U.S. industry.

Humans emit C02. Yes, you and I emit C02 every time we exhale. This government ruling will make all of us polluters in the eyes of the Federal Government. What’s next?

This is nothing but a power grab, another example of Obama’s philosophy of using a crisis to ram through onerous regulations or legislation. Except in this case as the Climate-Gate leaked data shows, the crisis has been manufactured.
