A left-wing cylon that would be on the fringe of any district. But – what makes McNerney worse is that he is an empty military uniform that ran for office on a platform of “I’m a Veteran” and “Pombo is corrupt”.

Guess what? Pombo never came close to getting indicted and John Doolittle was exhonerated.

Oh and McNerney has had his fair share of Dirty Money.

Now McNerney has a four-year track record of screwing the military, raising taxes, promoting socialism and moral values that belong in a psychological manual as opposed to in mainstream society.

Very simple.

David Harmer = lower taxes. Jerry McNerney = Higher Taxes.

David Harmer = less government. Jerry McNerney = socialized healthcare, tax payer-funded abortion and government takeover of industry.

David Harmer = values. Jerry McNerney = 100% record from NARAL, high ratings from LGBT groups and the ACLU.

Now who’s the extremist?

If you want a return to common sense – David Harmer is it. Jerry McNerney has distinguished himself as being the incumbent Congressional Politician who is way on the fringe.

Need more? Mcnerney has served his master Nancy Pelosi well – 98.5% of the time he has done her bidding.

Meantime – the Delta Smelt still gets precedence over the farmers of the Central Valley.

I finally got to see Avatar today. The parallel to the experience of native Americans in the 1800’s in America was obvious. Someone wanted what the Na’vi (planet Pandora natives) had and rationalized their right to take it. To make it easier to justify taking the Na’vi’s land they demonized them as savages, then forced them from their homes in an ugly display of aggression.

It got me thinking of the many examples of some people taking the property of others for their own justified reasons and I came to an interesting conclusion. What is the difference between greedy capitalists stealing from Native Americans in the 1800’s and today’s liberals taking from some in the form of taxation and giving it to others? I suppose you could say the capitalists are doing so out of greed, and liberals do so for their version of the greater good. But who contributes more to the greater good? The Capitalists must be delivering a relevant product to succeed. Take an oil company for example. They employ thousands, pay dividends to shareholders, many who are retirees living off the income, and deliver an essential product to millions. That is certainly the greater good.

The liberals for their version of the greater good need no such relevant product. They need the force of government behind them. They simply find a group of people they decide are underserved, decide that said group “deserves” more, take it from those who have it (earned it), and give it away. Either way one person or group of persons self rationalizes that they have a right to some other person or group of person’s property for some reason.

The liberals demonize those they take from as “wealthy” as though it is a bad thing. Those damn rich people deserve to have their property taken, after all they can afford it. Accumulation of wealth is an American ideal is it not? Well it used to be.

This is really interesting. If you asked about say Wounded Knee or some other really awful example of native Americans being exploited during the migration to the American west, liberals would probably be the first to grab the moral high ground. Yet liberals exhibit willingness to take from some for their version of greater good more than conservatives.

So liberals are continuing the same behavior as witnessed in Avatar, or the American west, where some are demonized to justify taking their property by others.

Is this the America we want?

The billionaire former CEO of online auction firm eBay will square off in the Nov. 9 general election against Democrat Jerry Brown, who faced no serious opposition in Tuesday’s primary vote.

With 7 percent of precincts reporting, Whitman, 54, had captured 66 percent of the Republican vote, while Poizner had won 25 percent. Brown claimed his party’s nomination with 84 percent of the Democratic vote.

Since declaring her intention to run on Feb. 9, Whitman has virtually rewritten the rules of campaigning. She spent twice as much as any statewide candidate in primary history, starting her paid advertising campaign 14 months before the general election and heavily limiting her exposure to journalists.

If tonight’s results hold, she will be the first woman to win the Republican nomination for governor.

Whitman entered the race promising to spend as much as $150 million of her own money on her campaign. By primary day, she had put in $71 million and raised another $16 million.

“From the beginning of the campaign, we built a plan and executed against it,” said veteran Republican consultant Jeff Randle, a top Whitman adviser. “When the campaign got really ugly this year, we stuck to the plan. That’s a complete reflection of who the candidate is.”

How many of you got Tom Campbell’s letter on Friday asking for money? (Auburn-Placer Recology picked it up today)

I got the following email from Tom Campbell – it told me two things. One is that he is broke and two is that he forgot about the prupose of next Tuesday…

I don’t have personal millions like Carly Fiorina to spend on my campaign – but I do have something my opponents can’t offer.

According to a just released LA Times/USC poll, I am defeating Barbara Boxer by 7 points – the first time a Republican has ever led her. The poll shows Carly Fiorina losing by 6 points, and Chuck DeVore losing by 10.

I can defeat Barbara Boxer, my opponents can’t – the case I make in this new video, which I urge you to watch and then pass along to your friends.

While 30-second TV ads have had an impact in this race, the most powerful way to sway voters is through a personal contact from a friend or colleague – you.

Here we go again from Tom Campbell: only my brand of liberalism can beat Barbara Boxer – I am pro-choice, pro-mixed marriage, anti-gun and darn it anyway, college professors think I am a righteous dude!

Tom Campbell’s opening line about personal millions also gives us a window in to the soul of a politician obsessed with raising taxes. That is something James Fisfisfis can’t fix fix fix.

There’s a big problem, Tom Campbell. It’s called a Primary. Problem two, Boxer is vulnerable to anyone, and was vulnerable against Bill Jones in 2004 – Jones was unable to raise money (like Campbell).

Campbell’s fellow Liberal Republican Meg Whitman apparently grasped this concept as she spent liberally on ads calling Steve Poizner a liberal and promising to close the borders. (If Tom Campbell called someone else a liberal it would cause laughter.)

I’d like to direct you back to the Memorial Day Trifecta for Thomas the Tax Engine. Terrorism, Taxes and (vote) Talley – three areas where Tom Campbell comes up wanting.

The California GOP is looking for a few good men, the Information Minister and the Tax Engine just ain’t it.

On Thursday – I blogged asking if it was time for Chuck DeVore to suspend his campaign.

We got our answer – the DeVore camp is going out with a blaze of glory attempting to bloody Carly as much as they can – leaving Tom Campbell out of the mix.

In a final act of hypocricy – Chuck DeVore got caught taking Per-Diem the day he flew to Southern California to attend a debate. I guess the charges about DeVore’s campaign being taxpayer-subsidized have some merit.

Meantime – Tom Campbell was the beneficiary of a misleading mailer. (gasp) Some liberal Republican group envoked the name of Reagan in an attempt to support Tom Campbell. Your humble blogger reminded people of the laundry list of tax increases Campbell either authored, voter for or endorsed.

Then – this morning, I wrote an essay entitled Memorial Day Trifecta for Thomas the Tax Engine. Terrorism, Taxes and (vote) Talley.

Not only is Campbell a serial tax-raiser – he defended Sami Al-Arian, a maniac professor tied to Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Nice theme for Memorial Day!

All in All – it sucks to be Tom Campbell right now.

Borne out of the same stupidity that banned rat poison (so now they get stuck in traps to suffer and die instead) – the brain trust in the State legislature voted to hand over their authority to a bunch of unelected, appointed bureaucrats.

Even Jeff Denham couldn’t vote for this drivel.

So if Clorox or 409 disappear from the shelves – thank Arnold Schwarzenegger and Abel Maldonado.

In the meantime – send Abel Maldonado back to Santa Maria. Vote Sam Aanestad for Lt Governor.

Me neither until today. I had no idea there was a grass roots conservative candidate for Governor of California.

Here is an excerpt from his bio.

Larry is a 53 year old resident of Carlsbad, CA. In 1979 after graduating from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management, Larry moved to California. He lived and worked in Los Angeles and Orange County until 1983 when he moved to the San Diego area….

….Although he is a lifelong Republican, Larry became disenfranchised from the party in 2008 as it moved away from the conservative values of Ronald Reagan. In 2009 he joined the Tea Party movement as an American patriot to join others who believe in small limited government, low taxes, and free market capitalism. As he participated in Tea Party events it became apparent that there are millions of other Californians who believe in the same principles and values. Throughout the year he actively fought to stop the water restrictions on our farmers and the CARB regulations that are driving jobs and businesses out of state.

Who else is running for Governor? The reinvented as a conservative Insurance Commissioner Steve Poizner, the rich enough to buy it for herself EBAY Executive Meg Whitman, or the tired old rerun Jerry Brown? I am sure they all have some redeeming qualities and maybe even positions on policy I agree with.

But I am tired of the same old politicians running our State. I am giving Larry Naritelli a long look, and a hundred bucks. Maybe someone with a TEA PARTY attitude can win for a change, and if not, I can still vote for one of the others.

5/28/2010, shameless bump
