I do hope Americans soon one day know President Bush did his best to keep us safe. When Obama takes office at least he will have a congress that will work with him unlike what President Bush had to deal with. We know Obama has a person on his staff that will handle Nancy Pelosi. If Obama puts her in her place Americans will have a day of celebration.
I am actually one of the few who believe history will be kinder to President Bush than the current times have been, but let’s not rewrite history.
President Bush and the Republican controlled congress he enjoyed for 6 of his 8 years in office racked up 5 trillion dollars in debt taking the national debt to 10 trillion.
If he and the Republican Congress had exercised the restraint Republicans used to be known for, we would not have Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama running the country.
